Are your boards food safe?Yes, All of our boards are 100% food safe. The timber used is natural without any treatments and the adhesive on our boards that involve glue ups is certified as food safe too.
Where recycled timber is used we are careful to make sure it has had no previous timber treatment or harmful products such as lead based paint.
The Board Butter we use it finish the boards is made by us and also 100% food safe.
How do I care for my board?All boards should have a food safe oil re applied every three months. When doing this it is important to apply the finish evenly over the entire board (including the sides and underneath) so that it dries evenly and stops warping. We recommend using our Board Butter.
To clean your board wipe it down with a damp cloth and leave to air dry. Our boards should never be submerged in hot soapy water and are not dishwasher friendly.
We also send care instructions out with your board.
What does "made to order" mean?All of our chopping boards are “made to order” this means that once you place your order we get to work making your board. We don’t hold chopping boards as stock, each one is hand crafted by us for you.
This can sometimes mean you may need to wait slightly longer to receive your board, but when it arrives it will be bespoke and unique to you.
Can you customise my board before I order it?Yes absolutely, because our boards are made to order we can make alterations to suit your vision. Examples of this could be changing the dimensions and adding or removing the juice grooves and handles.
What is your returns policy?Our serving boards can be returned within 30 days as long as they are in the same condition as when you received them.
Our Chopping Boards and Butchers Blocks are made to order which means we can’t accept returns.
If you have issues with your board down the line then please get in touch, however we do not take responsibility for timber movement, splitting or warping due to poor care and incorrect use.
We thoroughly check all our boards before we send them, if they arrive damaged please take a photo of the packaging before you open it and then get in touch with us
Will my order look different to the pictures on the website?All of our boards are made from natural hardwoods, this means that the grain pattern is unique on each serving board, chopping board and butchers block.
Due to the natural variations in the grain your board will not be identical to the ones on the website, this also means that your board will be unique to you.
